Camp Michi-MAC was established in 1980 by the Michigan Allergy & Asthma Society to allow asthmatic children to attend camp. Camp Michi-MAC is unique in that the child with asthma is mainstreamed into regular camp activities while proper medical supervision is provided by physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants and respiratory therapists.

Purpose: PROVIDE A MEDICALLY SAFE CAMPING EXPERIENCE FOR ASTHMATIC CHILDREN AT NO COST TO THEIR FAMILIES. CHILDREN WITH ASTHMA GRADES 2-10 WHOSE MEDICAL CIRCUMSTANCES PREVENT THEM FROM ATTENDING CAMP ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY.
