I like my work to surprise, inspire and have a long lasting effect on my soul each time I work on it. I am not pursuing a perfectly crafted sculpture; my sculpture is created to insure imperfection. The outcome becomes relatively less important, but the process provides a sense of self-confidence, a way of self-criticism, and a prelude to finding solutions for what seem to be problems in the previous works. My work is often autobiographical; I am part of the sculpture. The figure is a catalyst which ties everything together and anchors all the elements within the structure. The objects conglomerate into three dimensional diaries.
