You have to know it in advance what it is, who you are looking for. So that way when you’re talking to someone you know whether not they can refer somebody to you or not or if you even want them to. There some people, for me, just speaking personally, that you really don’t want a referral from if they work in a certain industry because it just doesn’t match.
